The Art Of Pea-cocking

Ever since the peacock theory from Mystery Method, I have been cautious of wearing anything that resembled a modern version of the 80’s David Bowie.

Truth is I didn’t really start pea-cocking till I was in San Diego. It was October the 5^th 2006 and I had just met Hypnotica outside his strip club. I was pretty intimidated at the guy he was built like the incredible hulk! We hopped in the limo and went to get some coffee. On the way down we were talking about how I won the challenge and what changes I had made to win. The guy in the coffee place seemed to know him, I was nervous as hell and I ordered a decaf even though I didn’t know what it was (I’m from the UK)

Well I looked at my cup and there was a tiny bit of coffee in it and it was cold, did that guy not like British people? So not saying anything about I just leave it, but it turns out Decaf is like this strong thing to get rid of caffeine affects. As you can see I wasn’t blending in very well and the fact that I tried to get in the drivers side of Hypnotica’s car was hilarious. But unknown to me I was already pea-cocking.

When I was outside the hotel for a smoke women talked to me and they were intrigued and on my 3 hour mission to look for a shop that sold matches I had a lot of women talk to me. But the main woman that talked to me was the one in hot topic. Rock chick… my favorite kind of woman, she was beautiful and I wanted to nail her straight away. We talked for like an hour (I wasn’t interested in picking her up due to logistics) I told her about the whole concept of pea-cocking and that I wanted to improve of my personality.

That is were the two thumb rings came in… she thought they looked sexy on a guy and it was unique, she was right. Because everyone commented on them and when I got back to the UK… so did the women here! Problem was… I started to get a lot of bad luck and I chucked one of my thumb rings in a garden bush in rage.

But now I am working on a new unique item that could compensate and be intriguing. Mystery pea-cocks like crazy (over the top) but that works for him, Tynan (www.betterthanyourboyfriend.com) has his disco hat, Style has his suits and baldness… It was time for me to get a unique look.

And that is where I came up with the ultimate cool look!

That isn’t many unique items, but I wasn’t aiming for what Mystery can be congruent with. As long as these convey part of my personality and I think they do.

The art of pea-cocking isn’t to attract her to you (That’s a side effect) Its to convey that your confident enough to convey your personality, but if you over-do it then it can look like you’re an attention seeker, which isn’t a bad thing but I’m not congruent with that.
